“My broad legal background enables me to assist clients across a wide range of industries in business transactions, corporate finance, intellectual property, and litigation matters. I believe in building meaningful relationships and am committed to understanding each client’s goals and needs. I make an effort to enjoy life every day, regardless of where I am or what I am doing.”
Andrew’s practice is focused on business transactions, including asset and stock purchases, mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, corporate governance, corporate finance, and contract review and negotiation. Andrew also handles intellectual property matters, including trademark disputes, and real estate transactions, including commercial leases, residential purchase agreements, and construction contracts.
Andrew’s breadth of experience in different areas of the law gives him a unique and well-rounded perspective. As a litigator for nearly 10 years, Andrew handled cases involving personal injuries, business and contract disputes, trusts and probate, professional liability, insurance coverage, medical malpractice, and elder abuse. For several years, Andrew also specialized in employment law, representing and counseling employers.
After graduating from University of Colorado Boulder, Andrew received his J.D. from Southwestern Law School. Prior to joining SMT, Andrew worked in the San Francisco office of a respected national firm and he was a senior associate at Lynch, Gilardi & Grummer until the firm closed in 2018. In addition, Andrew briefly managed the litigation practice for Los Angeles firm Weinberg Gonser LLP, where he worked closely with clients in the cannabis industry.
Andrew was born and raised in Santa Rosa. Before law school, he worked in the wine industry. When he’s not in the office, Andrew enjoys playing and watching sports, traveling, music, good food and craft beer, and spending time with friends and family. Andrew serves on the Board of Directors for the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts and the Northern California Center for Well-Being. Andrew also volunteers on the Sonoma County Bar Association Education and Law Week committees. He is a proud member of Leadership Santa Rosa, Class 38.
