Attorney
Ross J. Lee
I advise employers on California employment law across the full lifecycle of the employment relationship: agreements and handbooks, wage and hour compliance, executive compensation, discrimination and harassment issues, discipline, and termination and severance. Alongside that, I handle commercial contract negotiation — a natural extension of the in-house work that shaped how I practice.
Good legal advice should make a decision easier, not slower. I spent my career inside companies, and the work that matters most is the kind that keeps a problem from ever reaching your desk.

Background
Ross measures his practice by what he believes is good legal service: it enables, not prevents. Having begun his career as in-house counsel, he understands that legal advice is only useful if it can be acted on—so he focuses on giving clients a clear read on the risk ahead and a practical way through it.
Ross began his career as Corporate Counsel for Saratech, an engineering software and services company located in Mission Viejo, CA. There, he served as sole in-house counsel, directing legal operations and providing executive oversight of HR and IT. As a member of the senior executive team, he advised the CEO on growth initiatives, corporate governance, and enterprise risk.
From there, Ross served as Senior Counsel, Commercial & Employment at OURA in San Francisco, CA. As in-house counsel, Ross handled commercial contracting and employment matters for a global consumer health technology company; negotiated agreements across brand partnerships, manufacturing, supply chain, marketing, media, research, and distribution, and advised business teams on product privacy, regulatory compliance, marketing claims, and enterprise risk. Ross also served as legal partner to HR on hiring, terminations, investigations, and multi-state compliance, and chaired the company’s cross-functional Ethics Review Committee.
