In 1996, Greg Spaulding, Kevin McCullough and Jan Tansil formed the law firm that is now Spaulding McCullough & Tansil LLP (SMT). It was the launch of a full service law firm that was committed to a partnership with the community and its clients. SMT continues that tradition today with 22 accomplished attorneys accompanied by an incredible staff that provides personalized and responsive client service. We remain pleased to assist our clients with their legal matters.
SMT is excited to announce that Kari J. Brown has become a partner of the firm. Her practice primarily focuses on employment law, though Kari is also experienced in handling general civil litigation matters, including business and contractual disputes and personal injury matters. Kari’s breadth of experience in various areas of the law gives her the unique ability to give her clients well-rounded and sound advice. More details of Kari’s practice are found on her bio page.
SMT is proud to announce that for the third year in a row, Albert G. Handelman has been designated a Best Lawyer for his work in Trusts and Estates. This award is limited to a small number of attorneys in our area and is based on peer review where leading lawyers select who is a Best Lawyer.
In addition, Albert has been selected as “Lawyer of the Year” for his work in Trusts and Estates in Santa Rosa. Only a single lawyer in a specific practice area and location is honored with a “Lawyer of the Year” designation.
SMT is pleased and grateful to announce that we have again been selected by the North Bay Business Journal as one of the Best Places to Work in the North Bay.
SMT is proud to announce that Keenan J. McCullough has been selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in the legal community. The award acknowledges his great skills in M&A work and business/corporate work in general. This is a peer designation (i.e. selected by other lawyers in the field) and is awarded only to a select number of accomplished attorneys in each state.
SMT is proud to announce that Katherine L. Jeffrey has been selected by the North Bay Business Journal for its 2020 Forty Under 40 Award. The award acknowledges her leadership in estate planning law and her contributions to SMT and the community.
